31/365 - Random Tuesday

Today I cut open a grapefruit that was freshly grown in Deerpark, Texas by some of our friends. I was in a macro kind of mood today, so here you go....a grapefruit up close. =)

30/365 - Bear Hug

Lately, my hubby has been trying to teach Lil E how to give a bear hug. He is slowly getting it figured out, but he is sure to make the "GRRRR" sound when his daddy hugs him.

29/365 - Another Self Portrait

Lil E came home today after spending the night with his grandparents. I wanted to take a picture with him and LOVES to push the button!  I threw in an outtake because I thought it was funny.

28/365 - Self Portrait

Lil E had a day with grandparents today so he wasn't around for me to snap his picture. So instead you get a picture of me!

27/365 - Meet Flo

Flo has been in our lives since Lil E was probably around 3 months old. Whenever you push Flo's tummy, he lights up and plays music. Lil E is very attached to Flo and can't go to sleep at night without him. It is really cute to watch him look for Flo when it is bedtime. Got to love the little moments!

26/365 - Afternoon Jog

This afternoon, my hubby took Lil E for a jog. He is such a nosey little boy, so I know he had a blast seeing what everyone in the neighborhood was up to.

25/365 - Long Day

Just what you need after a long day. The only thing I was missing was a nice drink.

24/365 - Crayola

So I was feeling a little uninspired on the photography front today and did not have a happy model on my hands. It is really tough to take pictures once the sun goes down, so I snapped a picture of my son's crayons laying on the table. Nothing too exciting, but it is all I got today.

23/365 - New Fabric

I ordered some new fabric to use as backdrops and of course had to try it out immediately. So I had my not so cooperative model lay on it for me. Can you see how excited he is?

22/365 - Fun at the Park

Lil E was feeling much better today so he was determined to get to the park. He grabbed my hand he practically drug me out the door. So off to the park we went to burn a little extra energy!  I also couldn't decide on one picture today, so you get three!

21/365 - Sick Day

Today Lil E woke up with a fever, which led to a very lazy day. I don't pull Play Doh out very often, so this was a treat for him. He loved every minute of it and when he saw the pictures I took later, he was ready to go play again!

20/365 - Nightly Routine

So my little guy has been diagnosed with asthma and has been having a flare up lately. When this occurs, our nightly routine consists of breathing treatments and movies. This is a little peak into his bedroom while he gets ready for bed.

19/365 - Toy Story

Lil E is a HUGE fan of Toy Story right now. He received a set of Toy Story figurines for Christmas this past year that reside in a little Mickey Mouse suitcase. Whenever he gets ready to play with them, he wheels his suitcase over to me to open. Once the suitcase is open, he takes out the figurines and lines them up on our media table. I love these little moments that I know won't last forever!

18/365 - Let's Bounce

This is one of Lil E's Christmas presents that he received this year. It was so cute to see him bouncing away in his room.  The second picture is totally blurry, but I still liked it.

17/365 - Morning Cartoons

Every morning while my hubby and I are getting ready for work, Lil E is busy watching his morning cartoons. You might also recognize this hat from a picture earlier this month. This bright orange beanie happens to be his favorite hat. We are so thankful Grampy bought it for him on one of their many trips to Gander Mountain!

16/365 - With this ring....

I have seen several images like this in the past and wanted to give it a try. This book is very special to me, as it is the Holy Bible that my grandfather purchased especially for my wedding. You see, my grandfather is a Baptist preacher and assisted with our wedding. My husband and I were married in a Catholic church, so my grandfather could not officiate the whole ceremony. The Catholic priest was very understanding of my wishes and allowed my grandfather to have a part in the ceremony, which meant the world to me. Love you Pappaw!

15/365 - Buddies

Today I took some pictures of our friends and Lil E couldn't resist getting in a shot. I guess he was trying to impress Miss E by playing his wooden flute. I am sure they will appreciate this when they are older! =)

14/365 - Let's Party!

Today was Lil E's 2nd birthday party. He is a huge fan of balloons and on our way to his party he was in charge of holding all them. He did a great job of holding them tight and not letting them go!

13/365 - Lazy Day

Today was my Friday off, so Lil E and I made it into a lazy day. I absolutely love these days. He spotted his puppies outside and went to take a look. I knew I had to capture this moment somehow and this is what I came up with.

12/365 - Yummm, Doughnuts

This was a totally unplanned shot, but I think it is hilarious. Whenever I give Lil E a cookie or doughnut, he doesn't take a huge bite like most other children. Instead, he likes to savor the taste and start out by licking it. He will eventually eat it, but it takes some time for him to get there.

11/365 - Extra Hugs Tonight

As many of you know, I am a member of ClickinMoms photography forum. Today one of the members lost her two year old baby boy. This weighed on me heavily today and I can’t even begin to imagine what she is going through. You can read about baby Evan’s story here. Tonight, I hug my baby a little tighter and am reminded that every day is not guaranteed.

This is not a technically perfect shot, but I love it all the same. Lil E was playing with this huge stick and wouldn't stay still. I guess boys will be boys.

Who doesn't love a fun bath time photo?! This is one of the moments when the sun has gone down and you really aren't inspired to take pictures of anything else. You can always rely on bath time!

Today we went to see where Uncle P and Aunt D are getting married. The venue is currently being restored so there was tons of space for Lil E to run around. He had a blast burning that extra energy!

7/365 - Riding His Big Green Tractor

Santa brought Lil E a John Deere tractor for Christmas this year. He is still learning how to drive it, but I am sure he will have it figured out in no time!.

6/365 - Good Morning!

So last night my son woke up about 2:00 am. My hubby got him and put him in bed with us. Somewhere between his room and ours, he managed to grab his beanie and wear it to bed. You never know what you are going to get with this kiddo!

5/365 - Fish Sitting

Today is our last day to fish sit. We have had our neighbors beta fish for about 10 days and he gets to go home tomorrow. Lil E has thoroughly enjoyed feeding the fish everyday and finding him in the tank. Luckily Mr. Beta lives across the street so we can go visit him anytime!

4/365 - All Aboooooard!

All aboard the potty train! Now that my little guy turned two, we are really trying to introduce him to the potty. We want to gradually work on potty training so I bought him a new stool today so he could get to the potty by himself. He was a BIG fan of the stool, but not so much of the potty.

My son received a huge train table from his grandparents this year for Christmas. I thought he would be too young to play with it right away, but boy did he prove me wrong! He absolutely loves the trains. He always lines up all of his trains and pushes them across this bridge because it lights up and makes a sound when the trains cross over it. It has been so rewarding to watch him play with these trains.

January 1st is the start of a new year. It also happens to be my sons birthday. I never thought I would have a New Years baby. Now I know, he just wanted to make a grand entrance as he has so much to share with the world. He has changed our lives in so many ways, but brings so much joy to everyone he meets. He is truly an amazing little guy. Happy Birthday to my wonderful sweet boy.
