May Blog Circle - Beautiful Ugly

Beautiful ugly...that was the theme for our blog circle this month.  I have to admit, I am not that great at creating beautiful images out of ugly things.  I received such a beautiful bouquet of flowers when I was at the hospital having my new little bundle of joy and kept them probably a little longer than I should have.  They were just so gorgeous and didn't want them to die, but as we all know, flowers don't last forever.  So here is my take on "beautiful ugly"; macro shots of my roses that were all dried up.

P52: Week 15 - Reflection

This week's this was reflection.  Lil E was riding his tricycle and that shiny chrome wheel just screamed reflection.  I ran inside to grab my camera and this is what I came up with.

Such a fun theme this week.  I love taking macro shots of flowers and my hubby surprised with a beautiful bouquet this weekend.  Here are a few shots of the pink roses.

March Blog Circle - Interesting Perspective

Our monthly blog circle theme this month was interesting perspective.  One day I was laying on the floor in our playroom while my little one was playing on his train table and couldn't help but notice how cute his little legs looked underneath the table.  So for my interesting perspective image, I chose this image because it is not a perspective I often shoot from.

Well I somewhat followed the theme this week.  Here is a shot of my little guy in the bluebonnets.

March Lensbaby Blog Circle

Wow I can't believe March is practically over!  This month flew by and I actually didn't get to use my Lensbaby very much.  I hope to do a better job in April.  We went to the butterfly museum early in the month and got a fun shot of a butterfly.  Other than that we have just been busy with life, but I did manage to take a couple of shots while on our little outdoor adventure.

The theme for week 12 was signs of spring.  Well I didn't follow the theme this week either.  I did take a family self portrait though!

This week's theme was night portrait and I never got around to taking a shot at night.  I did however snap this close up of Lil E's eyelashes.  I could take pictures of his lashes all day long!

Week 9's theme for the project 52 was glass.  I had my hubby break a glass jar so I could get these shots.  I couldn't make my mind up on which one to share so I am sharing all three.

February Blog Circle - Food

I can't believe we have already finished another month!  The time seems to go by so fast these days.  The theme for this month's blog circle was food.  Now, I am in no way a food photographer but did happen to take some images of an orange in carbonated water.  It was actually pretty tough to get some of the bubbles in focus, but at the same time it was a lot of fun.  Head on over to Melissa's blog to see what she captured this month!

February Lensbaby Project

Installment two of my Lensbaby project has arrived.  I am starting to enjoy this lens more each time I use it.  Here are some images I took during the month of February.

 These first two shots were taken when Lil E and I made a tent for him to play in.  He really enjoyed watching his movies in there.

Oh my tulips.  My hubby got these for me for Valentine's day and I had so much fun taking shots of them.

Lensbaby was having a photo contest on their Facebook wall that was Valentine's Day themed and I took this shot for that contest.  I was so surprised when I found out I won a brand new Spark!

Of course I had to play with it and test it out, so here are a couple of shots using the new Spark.  Thank you Lensbaby!
